I emphasize PILLS here. I know that the powdered form is mostly recommended to be taken after a workout, but when is the best time to take creatine pills? I hear they are tougher to digest and take longer to absorb, so does that change anything?
Body naturally releases creatine at night. A good nights rest can save you money. However, I do not believe it matters what time you take it.
Edit* According to Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Ecyclepedia to Body Building, one should be wary of digesting food during a workout because the digestive system will rob your muscles from the blood supply the muscles needs in order to develop the nutrients to the muscles. So maybe you should wait until after your workout. I know it’s recommended to eat protien within 30 minutes of a workout for the best effect if that helps.

its best to take creatine tablets 30 min before a work out on an empty stomach and if you take it with zma it gives you that extra boost….. then take zma again just before bed
