I’m supposed to take a pre-employment drug test soon. I do smoke weed pretty regularly, but I’m not concerned with it actually showing up because I am refraining from smoking until after my test, and I know to be sure to drink lots of water before the test to dilute my THC levels.
My concern is this: I hear they check for creatine levels, which are typically high in carnivorous diets because creatine is rich in red meats. However, I am a vegetarian and so I’m not getting these sky-high creatine levels, and I hear that if creatine levels are too low, your test can come back positive!
Is this true? Is there any way I can get more creatine in me without eating carcasses?
Thanks in advance!
Creatinine and Creatine are different.
Creatinine is the one you are concerned with.
Being a vegetarian will not lower your Creatinine levels, however, drinking a ton of water before your test will.
Per the Creatinine wikipedia page:
"Creatinine concentration is also checked during standard urine drug tests. High creatinine levels indicate a pure test while low amounts of creatinine in the urine indicate a manipulated test, either through the addition of water in the sample or by drinking excessive amounts of water."
