I have been using Anavol, which is pills with Creatine and glutamine and something else, I have experienced a little increase in strength and muscle mass but I used a whole bottle w/the matrix workout and am dissapointed.. I think my increase in strength is just due to the matrix excercise and not the Anavol. Any suggestions?

Forget what the idiot who first answered this question said.

He wants an answer to his question not someone trying to preach to him about why supplements are bad coming from someone who has no idea about supplements.

There have been many modern advances in creatine production over the years. The rule of thumb is that creatine monohydrate is no longer the best type to take and most of it is wasted in your body.

You want to get something that has some form of Creatine Ester Ethyl or CEE in it. That will give you the best results. However supplements are only a very small part of the equation and should not be the only thing attributed to your gains.

The best idea is to not use any supplements like creatine or glutamine. If you maintain a healthy and balanced diet then you should get all the nutrition your body needs. I don’t know if you know but creatine feels your muscles with a lot of unnecessary water and if you stop or take a break from your normal workout(i.e. you get hurt) then that muscle mass will disappear, well the water actually displaces it self to other parts of your body, such as legs and stomach. One thing to remember is that you should always eat a good carb/protein meal before you exercise, and after wards you need to replace the nutrients that you have used up during the workout. Buy a mens health magazine, or go on the web and find some natural workout plans. Trust me you will appreciate your body more and have less long term effects.

For the most part, all creatine sources are pretty much the same. While more expensive sources my reach muscle faster, overall their effect is neglible. Don’t waste money on expensive mixes, just get the cheapest creatine monohydrate powder you can find.
