Hey, the purpose of creatine, in small, is that it hydrates the muscle cells by increasing the development time of ATP (energy surrounded by the muscle). In terms of performance it increases your strength, meaning you can lift slightly heavier, for more reps, also it makes you look fuller.

There are down sides too: if you select the incorrect one, they can bloat you, make you retain water…predominantly this is creatine monohydrate. I would recommend creatine ester ethyl, or all american efx kre-alkalyn. I use this and it is effective for me.

In terms of you hitting your plateau, using another supplement won’t necessarily change it. You need to change your exercises, and what you lift. I change my program every 3 weeks, and have not hit a plateau since.

A few questions to you though: How ancient are you? What is your exercise goal (size, strength, tone)?

I would be pleased to change your program for you if you send it to me, i’m a personal trainer, so if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate.

Remember its vital to get rest days in, you’ll be surprised how beneficial these are!

    Hope this was helpful!

James is right on! Creatine and whey protein is a fantastic stack, but again cycle the creatine in this area every 8 weeks. I guess the only negative part would be water retention and bloat. Make sure you are consuming a high quality compound free whey product minus the fillers and additives.
